The Bible Recap (TBR) follows a chronological Bible reading plan and is a short daily recap by creator & host, Tara-Leigh Cobble. She’ll highlight & summarize that day’s Bible reading in a casual, easy to understand way. ​​TBR comes in 3 forms - book, podcast, or video. In just 12 minutes a day, you can read the entire Bible in 2026! Add 8 minutes for The Bible Recap, & you’ll be reading, understanding & loving God’s word in just 20 minutes a day!

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:​

Step 1:  Pick up The Bible Recap program booklet on the Growth Group Table in front of the Lounge.  

 

Step 2:  You decide how you want to participate.  Do you want to do it all online, or do you want to purchase books?  Or a combination of both. The online options are FREE.  The books will cost you money.  Directions on how to download the app or where to purchase are all in the program booklet.

 

Step 3:  Let the church know you are participating.  Email Pastor Becky at becky@mayfieldchurch.org or write on your connection card how many in your household are participating.  For example:  A connection card might say...Jane Doe Family...3 for The Bible Recap.

 

Step 4:  Set aside the time that you need each day to do the daily readings.  For some, it may be morning time before the day begins.  For others, it may be in the evening.  For some, it may be listening to the Scripture while you are getting ready in the morning or while you are in the car.  However, you decide to listen or read, for this to work for you, you have to be intentional.  Make a plan and stick to it.

 

Step 5:  Begin reading The Bible Recap.  Each day's readings should take about 10-20 minutes.  There are additional videos and suggested reading if you choose to go deeper.  Those are all listed in the program booklet.  

 

Step 6:  Listen for connecting points in worship.  Be watching for emails and videos from Pastor Becky and Pastor Beth that help us to go deeper and connect the readings to our faith tradition.

 

Step 7:  Each month, we will ask you to check in via the Connection Card and let us know how you are doing.  Every family or individual that checks in gets their name in a hat for a drawing for a gift.  In December, we will celebrate all that God has done and the ways that our relationship with God has strengthened and grown.
